Comfortable stay with great amenities
The room was cozy and well-decorated, with a comfortable bed and Netflix for entertainment. The cleanliness was impressive and I appreciated the little touches, like having a kettle and tea facilities. It was a perfect place to unwind after long days of exploring the area. the lack of dining options on-site was a bit disappointing.

The Standard Twin Room offered a cozy atmosphere with a decent layout for a group setting. The overall decoration and furnishings added a charming touch that made the space feel welcoming.
Arrived at 2030, but the hotel was locked up tight with no staff on-site. We ended up in the wrong rooms and were unexpectedly woken up at 7 AM with a request for extra payment for an upgrade. A minor annoyance included the lack of spoons for the tea and coffee in the room. a simple coat hanger on the wall would have made it easier to hang up our outerwear.

Upon arrival, the big open space was inviting and the cozy heater kept us warm during the chilly nights. We loved relaxing in the comfy lounge area and enjoyed watching a variety of channels on the TV. The only hiccup was that we received the wrong room at first, which was sorted out pretty quickly, so no worries there! 😊

The room was cozy and comfortably heated, with a clean bed and a good variety of TV channels, making it a pleasant spot for a restful night. the bathroom amenities were minimal, and there weren't any dining options at the hotel, which was a drawback since nearby cafes are limited. The overall experience felt basic but efficient for a one-night stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Douglas Arms, with a clean and cozy room featuring Netflix for some evening relaxation. The lack of on-site dining options made things a bit tricky, but there are nearby cafes for breakfast. Perfect base for exploring the area’s beer culture!

missingWrote a review on Jun 12cozy roomsgood locationstaff absence
The location offers a nice balance between local charm and accessibility to surrounding attractions, making it a solid base for exploring. Cozy rooms provide a nice retreat, with decent space for unwinding after a long day.
A lack of staff presence was definitely felt upon arrival, as it left us scrambling to get inside the building and sort out our check-in, which was already complicated by the requirement of a deposit. The rooms themselves weren't quite what we expected. minor inconsistencies in quality and comfort made the stay feel a bit less special—no spoons for coffee or tea, the room temperature control left something to be desired, and a faint musty smell lingered. The exterior appeared a bit rundown, which didn’t create the most inviting first impression, while general maintenance could use attention. It might be okay for a quick stop, but it feels like there’s more potential yet to be realized.
